VIP-CAT Academy of Cosmetic Arts in northern California is designed for those who want to become professionals in the field of makeup artistry. Created by Raquel Siders, a master makeup artist and the owner of the salon Image Provocateur in Roseville, California, this academy’s focus is on celebrity-style makeup, on glamour not gore.
VIP-CAT Academy of Cosmetic Arts students learn all the tricks of the celebrity artist, the dramatic strokes that separate the amateur from the professional. The goal is to develop and create artists with exceptional skills.
Courses from intermediate to advanced to master are offered, as well as specialized single day courses. Classes are held on evenings and weekends, making them easily accessible to working professionals who are seeking to advance their career in the makeup industry—and to those wanting to break into the industry. The courses are fast paced, intense programs, covering the whole realm of the makeup industry.
In addition to learning the skills needed to create the look professionals wish to achieve, the course will also be offering one night focused solely on business development, teaching students how to make their way into the professional makeup artist career successfully.
The academy offers internships for qualifying students who have completed one or more of the extensive training courses offered. The internship program builds real world experience into resumes and portfolios. These students will be able to get hands-on experience in the field training on everything from weddings, film, stage, runway and events.
