The Oakland Marriott Convention Center on Sept. 20 –21 is where the JosDen International Beauty Expo is getting ready to open their doors to professional stylists, barbers, estheticians, owners, nail technicians, and students of the beauty industry.
The Expo will bring back their student competitions sponsored by the California Cosmetology Association. Competitions for barbers and stylists with categories including 3-D Graphic Design and Fastest Bald Fade in the West for barbers along with Fantasy, Ladies Precision Cut/ Color and Progressive style, Day to Night Elegant Evening, Ladies Long Hair Bridal, Celebrity Look Alike, and the Braid-It for stylists.
Educational topics include “Understanding Multi-ethnic skin” and “Step out of your box” where you will learn to do multi-ethnic and cross-culture hair and stop turning money away.
The Expo also highlights classes on color, cutting, updo’s, extensions, weaves, texture, straightening, make-up, eyebrows, skin care, barbering classes, and business and technology classes. You will learn from invited guest artists such as Dale Dee, the winner of “Hair World,” Gary Gerard, Rene Frelow, Patric Bradley, Wella’s top educator Paul Vega, Chuck Capel, Jon Gonzales, Maxi, Arnel, GiGi Ford, Michael Adams, Shereese Slate, Paul Mitchell’s top educator Daniel Moses, Ken Cassidy, Terry Hunt, Crystal Wright, Timothy Martin, and Madrid.
