City Salon’s stylists got a chance to get in touch with their inner divas when the Style Network’s Split Ends invited Huntington Beach stylists Keleigh and Kamryn to trade places with a punk rock New York City hairdresser, Sean. Of course, as the Southern California girls hit New York, punk rock Sean hit Huntington Beach, and the “hair raising” drama began.
As City Salon owner Diana Gilliard reports, “Calling it reality TV might be a stretch but it certainly was fun to play the diva salon owner and call Sean out on his edgy behavior. After a week of drama, we had our happy ending and it was great fun and a great chance to showcase the talented men and women at City Salon.”
In a Split Ends first, Diana invited Sean and the crew to take part in a fundraising cut-a-thon to benefit the PTAs of the Huntington Beach School District, showing that it’s not always cat fights and high drama when it comes to what a salon and its stylists can accomplish.
Split Ends aired the City Salon segment in August.
