ABCH Workshop Elevates Haircolor Skills

The first American Board of Certified Haircolorists (ABCH) Mentoring Workshop of the year will be held on February 15-16, 2015 in Atlanta. Atlanta was selected as the location for the mentoring program because of the close proximity to a major airport hub. There is a shuttle directly to the hotel from the airport.

This two-day hands-on class is the ultimate educational experience. The workshop is open to every caliber of haircolorist, from the beauty school graduate to those individuals who are more experienced.

The first order of business will be to divide the students into groups of similar experience. There will be a ratio of just eight people for every educator. The Wella Corp. is generously underwriting the costs of the workshop. Wella wants to make it clear this is not a workshop to attempt to sell haircolor, it is strictly to aid in training better haircolorists. It is a technique class to refine hands-on techniques.

Last year, there were two successful workshops. Those in attendance raved about how much they learned and how they are now prepared to take the American Board of Certified Haircolorists examination.

"The workshop was amazing! I have been doing hair for 20 years and I thought I knew it all, but I learned so much. Charles, my teacher was wonderful. I will be forever grateful to the wonderful people of ABCH and the Wella Company for putting on such well thought out educational event," writes Brenda Bingham of Ontario.

Sally Sanders from Las Vegas remarked, "I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to elevate his or her haircolor skills. The workshop ran on time and was well organized. In talking to the attendees they each applauded their teachers for not talking down to them and really wanted to help them. I feel am now ready to take the ABCH examination."
